I can't believe where the last 6 months have gone!!??!! Christmas was a busy time of year for us, away for New Year then planning for my BIG 3-OH birthday party (which still hasn't happened) then just before my birthday my mum quite seriously ill in the beginning of Jan and it really has been one thing after another and it took it's tole on me, I've been off sick the last week with a horrible flu thing. Anyway the other week I set down to make this:
I remembered seeing a post years ago about a memory jar & journal on http://www.craftsbycarolyn.co.uk/ and thought this was the perfect thing to make for my Mum for Mother's Day. The reason being she had a seizure and she lost her memory for a while (fully re-gained now, thank you Lord!) You fill the jar with little questions regarding their life and they write it down in the journal, e.g. things about their wedding, their years growing up, favourite school subjects etc...
The best thing is I shall be able to look through the journal in later years and have something special!

Here's the card that went along with it, the papers used is the name of my mum :)
Thanks for popping by :)

Oh My Sarah .. tis gorgeous :-) I bet your mum was indeed truly thrilled with your gift to her. Well done on using your BIA -As I may have already told you, mine was in its box for over a year before I had the courage to have a go with it.
