Aaarrrrgghh where has time gone?

Sorry bloggers that I haven't been blogging, life has been very busy. I'm taking 2 photography courses as well as other things.

I have a few cards that I have made in the last month that I have been meaning to share with you.

First up is a Golden Wedding Card for friends of ours.

I had a go at stitching on card using my little sewing machine and I'm very pleased with my 1st go. I'm sooo not a sewer but think this has prompted me to have a go at making over things with it.

Next card was a birthday card for a for a lovely lady in a Birthday Club that I belong to on Crafts by Carolyn

And the last card I want to show you is an engagement card that I was commissioned to make from a friend at work.

Please note that there is a 20% discount on DewDrop Craftz Digiz until midnight this Sunday (11th).
Discount is automatically applied in the basket too, so no code to remember
.

I will be back to show you some examples coloured in of the Digiz that are on offer so keep an eye out.

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

Woo Hoo! Another card off my list and within the deadline too ;o) I must like working under pressure??!!
This card is for my little (well not so little anymore) cousin who turns 15 on Thursday!!! 15!!! I can remember holding her when she was hours old, where has the last 15 years gone?? She is sooo grown up now.

I used Cherry Cupcake from DewDrop Craftz and at ONLY £3.25 you'd be crazy not to buy it!!!

I also have a confession to make! The pattern paper isn't out of my scrap box  as I had already coloured in the Cupcake and none of my scraps matched the colours so I HAD to cut up some delicious untouched paper, shame on me! LOL! Oh but the pieced of card is from my scrap box!!

I couldn't wait to start stamping and using my new copic's with it! I'm hoping to put it on a card over the weekend, so when I have I will show you the finished piece!

I don't believe it!!

As Victor Meldrew would say...!!

It has been a month since I updated my blog *blushes in embarrassment*!! It has been a bit of a crazy month to tell you the truth with lots of comings and goings, holidays etc.. but I think (well, I hope) things have settled down now.

I have missed uploading a couple of design cards for the DewDrop Craftz blog challenge so without further ado, here they are!

Design Team member Jackie challenged us to make a christmas ornament.

This could be something for your tree, mantlepiece or table top.. and would be fantastic to see how you can incorporate your christmas crafting into christmas decoration.

Here is my Design Team creation:

I thought I would create something different to hang on the tree plus I just LOVE that cupcake stamp.... mmmmm yumm!!

Now for the current challenge which ends this coming Sunday evening, Domi, the newest Design Team member set us this challenge:

A bookmark.. something simple or something esquisite, either way something you could use to save your page in a favourite book or magazine.

Here is my bookmark with the emphasis being s.i.m.p.l.e.!! I'm giving this to my 4 year old cousin for his story time at school so didn't want anything to dramatic!!

How cool is this stamp, especially for all those teenage boy cards!! This stamp will be released soon!

I'm off to relax for the evening and do some stamping after another busy work day! Have a good evening!!

Are you sitting comfortably?

As I have a few things to share with you today!

I was up till 2am this morning crafting, I just couldn't sleep!! Since I have had the flu I am finding it hard to sleep during the night as I am hacking away but I'm able to sleep during the day - I don't get it at all! So, my nights have been turning into day's.

I thought I would have a go at the challenge over at Dottie's World as back in December before I had the massive shopping spree at Craft Central I bought the wonderful new collection Girls About Town, oh my!! it is just GORGEOUS!!! What are you waiting for, get yourselves over there quick if you haven't already!
The challenge was this:

This week the challenge is in the theme;
After all the over indulgence you've most likely had over Christmas ( a few poorly tummies and heads I guess?) The theme this week is Get Well Soon .You don't have to use those words, but it has to be aimed at cheering someone up or wishing them well . If you don't know anyone who's poorly your creation could be wishing them well in their new job or a new home...basically, lots of positive vibes in this card please AND of course a Charmed Download. Nice and easy?

So, it is a friends birthday and she and the family have been having a bit of a rough time of late so I hope this card puts some shine into her life. I just loved creating this card, at first I had a page of the gorgeous My Minds Eye 'Be Merry' paper, I was just staring at it, too good to use and I was just stroking it, I mean it is just so lickable (if that's such a word) but I stopped just before it reached my mouth as I really didn't want to ruin this gorgeous paper! I thought the paper looked like some funky wallpaper so I made a little scene, it looks like she is shopping in a cute Boutique! Ooh La La....

On this particular card I used Nicola, isn't she fab?? I coloured her with my Prismacolor pencils and used Sakura Soufflé pens to add details to her bags and added touches of glitter to make her sparkle.
Base CS is by Bazzill & the strip of blue CS is by Crate Paper & the 'Canopy' is by Sassafrass Lass.
The Sentiment is by Stampin' Up!
Blooms by Prima
Centre brad by Dovecraft
Brads, lace, ribbon and charm from stash

The next card is for the FAB challenge that Nikki at DewDrop Craftz has set. The challenge is . . .

to create any item, be it a card or layout.. even an altered art project.. but whatever the item, it must contain something from DewDrop Craftz shop.. be it a stamped image, ribbon or download..

The theme... each item must depict something 'new' as we are now starting 2009.. this could be a new baby, new house or something else..

You have a WHOLE MONTH for this challenge so get your thinking caps on, cut up that new paper you keep stroking (or licking ;o) ) and get yourself over to Nikki's blog for the chance to WIN the featured stamp that is Flower Girl. The Design Team has worked their magic with this stamp so head over to Nikki's blog for a whole lot of inspiration. Also... for anyone who enters the DewDrop Craftz blog challenges you will be in with a chance of winning some goodies from the shop, how cool is that??!!

Have a good evening... I'm off to have a nice hot cuppa on this chilly evening.

Feeling bleugh

I've been poorly the last couple of days with the horrible tummy virus that is sweeping the country so everything I have needed and wanted to do has been delayed. I'm feeling a bit better now but not 100%.
Anyway I have a few things to share with you.

This is a card that I made for my cousins 30th birthday

The next couple of items are what I made with the stamps that Nikki sent me. We had to make something other than a card with these cute mushrooms. I got to play with Ria & Gino with my new Copic markers. These little guys are just so much fun to work with!

My first project was this little chalkboard which I purchased from eBay and tarted it up!

For my next project I made a cute address book. I bought the address book in WHSmith's sale ages and ages ago and I wanted to alter it sometime and this was the perfect opportunity. Sorry, I forgot to take a before picture.

Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate any visits I get. Please leave me a comment so I can say hello :)

Less blogging = More crafting

That pretty sums up the last couple of weeks! I have a craft fair at a local school on Saturday which I can't attend now (but my mum is going to stand in my place) as my operation has been brought forward to tomorrow to have my wisdom teeth out!! Really not looking forward to it plus I have a rotten cold!!!!! :o(

Anyway, back on to lovely crafty things. I made this card for my cousin to give to the birthday boy (see post below).

Sorry about the photo, it was taken quickly as we were running late for the party! It features Charlie the monster from Nikki at DewDrop Craftz, such a fun little character!

Here is another card I made for my friend at work who is at any moment about to give birth!

I used Lola Rose from Pink Petticoat

Last but not least here are a couple of Design Team sneak peeks of a couple of projects I've done for Nikki.

Good job you're sitting down...

as I have a couple of cards to show you.

Nikki sent me this gorgeous stamp, I have just fallen is love with this little cute fairy.

She was designed by Valarie Wade who is an amazing illustrator. There are lots more gorgeous stamps available in the World of Sugar & Spice and there is also a cute line of Robots & Monsters for all your little and big boys and girls! The monsters are great for this time of year.

Here are my cards using Sugar Fairy.

Hope you are having a good Wednesday and are gradually thawing out? It is freezing here in the South West.

I must... I must... I must...

Post more OFTEN!!

Although I have had a busy summer with family and friends and not much time for crafting, but with Autumn drawing in and the darker evenings (booo!) I will be back to my crafty self, but at the moment I have a gastro thing and laryngitis and just can't be bothered to get off the sofa.... poor me :o( !!

I do have something to share with you though....

It is for the Stamp of the Month 'Bubble Background' that Nikki at DewDrop Craftz kindly sent me for this month!

It really is such a versatile stamp and goes really well with August's Stamp of the Month which was the "Under The Sea" set. Which I've just realised that I never blogged, opppss!! :oS So much has been going on here!!

Here are a couple of cards that I made with Septembers Stamp of the Month.

Exciting news

Hello... hello... hello......... anyone reading this?

Sorry I haven't been around. Life has been really busy at the moment and I have lost my mojo... but.... I have found some time for crafting the last couple of day's. The exciting news is that I have been made a Design Team Member for DewDrop Craftz and here are my creations for 'Stamp Of The Month' which is "Ferdy' Snow Frog. I'm not that keen on these creations but haven't had time to really sit down and play as my Uncle is seriously ill in hospital so my time has been cut short plus with other things that are going on in my life.

So here they are....

The second picture is a Bag-A-Lope, the instructions for this can be found here

CBC: Challenge 4 – Round & Round

Next Sue wanted us to create a card with at least FIVE!! circles on it.

I had to have a little think about this one and after a rummage through my paper rack, I found the perfect paper and I already had some gorgeous images stamped out which are by the lovely Nikki at DewDrop Craftz , I wanted something bright, funky and retro looking.
